| History : Once Goddess Parvathi made penance towards the lord from here , God tested her prayer and delayed the dharshan, on knowing this parvathi devi stood in one leg and started her penance. God wanted to test her further eventhough he satisfied atlast appeared before her in the form of big flame (Jyothiswarubam). Upon knowing the Lord Parvathi embraced him. Hence the Lord is called as Sivakkozhundeeswarar and the place is called as Siva Sakthi mutram. It is believed that when one prays to Sakthivanesvara with faith, one is blessed with the life partner of one's choice. Pujas on monday by married couple will bring joy in their life and the separated husband and wife will rejoin in their family life by doing temple cleanliness, milk anointing and vastharm to the Lord. |
