History:One of the 275 Thevara Padal petra sthalams.The Sivayoginathar Temple is old and is believed to be built at the spot where eight Siva yogis(sages) attained salvation and merged with the lingam. The shrine is dedicated to Chatur Kala Bhairavar, one of the four Bhairavas.The temple is considered 43rd of the Tevara Stalams.There is also a sannadhi for Lakshimi and Narayanan, which is rare.

This is the temple for Rishabha Rasi. People born under Rishabha rasi are recommended to visit this temple regularly.We can see Nandhi here with his head turned to a side.It is believed that those who pray to Him here during the Pradosham will be absolved of all their past sins.
